Serve Day is an amazing opportunity to bless others and be blessed by going out into our community to show the love of Christ in real and tangible ways. We will have many opportunities for you and your family to get involved along with projects for all ages to participate in. We challenge you not to show up to Serve Day alone! Baking Cookies

Off-Site

Bake cookies for First Responders. Please package in individual portions and drop off at the Wentzville Campus in the Café by 10am.

Birthright of Wentzville

Birthright is a crisis pregnancy center that helps anyone who comes to them for help with their pregnancy and up to 2 years after their baby is born. They can receive food, formula, diapers, clothing, etc.
We have the opportunity to serve to serve moms in our community through beautifying their facility. Some projects include: spreading topsoil, painting the back deck and stairs, cleaning out rain gutters, painting, and power washing.

Activity: Landscaping / Painting

Ages 10 & Up for Topsoil, Adults for the Rest

Blood Drive

Element Church (Wentzville Campus)

Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center is the sole supplier of blood to the SSM Hospital system, which includes locations in St. Charles and Lake St. Louis. Sign up for a time slot to donate blood and give back to your community. Blood Drive will be held from 10am-2pm.

Cards for a Cause

This is a fun, family friendly project where you will have the opportunity to hand make cards that will go towards a good cause (First Responders, teachers, etc.)

Five Acres Animal Shelter

Five Acres is the only no-kill animal shelter in St. Charles County. They need volunteers to help complete morning tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and other organizational projects to help keep their shelter in perfect condition for the animals.

LINC

LINC is a community center in Wentzville that serves their neighbors through a food pantry, community garden, childcare, etc. We have the opportunity to beautify their property by cleaning-up the fence-line and landscaping around LINC (Pulling weeds, trimming, etc.)

Love the Lou

 Love the Lou is working to restore St. Louis through teen mentoring programs, job training, community gardens, and much more. This team will have the opportunity to serve in their community garden.

Every month we collect blankets for Project Linus. For this month only, we will make no-sew fleece blankets at the church and provide the supplies. Project Linus delivers blankets to children in hospitals.

OASIS International

Oasis International’s mission is to love and care for those who seek refuge from a war-torn country. This project will renovate a building for a new family through demo, scraping, cleaning, or painting.

OASIS Thrift Store

Serve in the thrift store that provides clothing and household items for a low price. All revenue is used to purchase food and hygiene items for the OASIS Food Pantry. They also BBQ hotdogs for people waiting in the food pantry line.

Project Linus

Off-Site

Project Linus distributes handmade blankets to children in local hospitals (you do not get to go to the hospital). Make a blanket to donate and drop it off at Element the morning of Saturday, August 4th. You can even make a “No Sew Fleece Blanket.” A link for examples on types of blankets you can make will be in your confirmation email.

Sharing Shed

The Sharing Shed provides free, household furniture and items to those unable to provide for themselves. On Saturdays, they serve up to 4 clients. Element volunteers will be trained in three different areas: personal shopper, processers, and warehouse help.
